Fight for San Francisco

It is time to stand up for the City of San Francisco and against short-sighted politics. Supervisor Chris Daly is attempting to cut critical city services from the mayor’s budget in order to fund his own political backers. Daly has introduced a motion that would eliminate key city programs without going through the normal budget process.
Please join us tomorrow for a rally on the steps of City Hall at 12PM, on the Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place side to show your opposition to Supervisor Daly’s plan.

Supervisor Daly’s motion would cut:

$700,000 for the Community Justice Center, which will deal with quality-of-life crimes$3 million for a vitally needed police academy class$10.6 million for DPW street repairs and new trees$1.1 million for a Rec & Park increase in park patrols $713,000 for the 311 City Call Center$500,000 for a Small Business Assistance Center

If you believe we need more police to make
our city safer — please join us. If you believe the homeless
situation needs a proven
solution
— please join us. If you believe we need to make significant
investments to repair our streets
please join us. If you believe it is time to replace our decrepit public
housing projects
— please join us.

Here are the details for the rally:

If you can’t make the rally, please call or email your supervisor on the Budget and Finance Committee. Let the supervisors know you want them to restore the mayor’s budget:

Please email five of your friends and ask them to join us at City Hall at noon on Wednesday, June 13th in support of the mayor’s budget. See you at City Hall.
